Andover.Net and VA Linux are expected to make public offerings very very soon (Thursday.) Prices are not cheap though, and if you have an inside track or someone who owes you a favor, call it out now. Dont expect to jump on the public bandwagon and get a steal.Prices are rising even before the offering and the forecast is that the trend will continue. VA Linux has doubled and is up over $23, and Andover is up a few bucks to $18. Both of these are fairly good long term bets, so investing for the long haul is a good idea, but the quick cash makeres will be insiders and a lucky (saavy) few. VA Linux makes rock solid Linux systems and is the leader in Linux related server and workstation hardware. Andover owns many web related tehcnologies including the forums of Slashdot and Freshmeat (recent aquisitions.) That is the story this time and always. Be on the inside, or invest for the duration in proven products and companies. Dont expect to "get rich quick" (unless its your own dot.com.) Andover.Net
