PS3 - there was a Honeymoon?

Ars covers the PS3 "after the honeymoon".

With Sony spitting DRM all over the place, showing up with ridiculous prices, and not having any decent content, I was not aware there even was a honeymoon - but I admit I know jack about the PS3 *on purpose*.
