Networked Stuff

Fininshing out (some) of the backlog of my "to post" items are two treatises on network aware objects. Why Things Matter by Julian Bleecker is an interesting look at network aware objects, though I find his use of the buzzword-whiff "Blogjects" word to be... irritating.

There is also this brief bit at artima about the Sun Research Neuromancer project and its offspring SPOT (small programmable object technology). If you haven't read it yet, I highly recomment Neil Gershenfeld's "FAB". A lot of the SPOT stuff really harks back to the kind of things he is working on there with programmable components.

And to finish it off... Here is a robot toting dead pigs.
