Another Good Article in New York Magizine: So We’re Green. Now What?
"The AP's Seth Borenstein is reporting that there's a Stanford study out this week using some kind of a computer model to claim burning ethanol's worse for the environment than burning straight gasoline. His model indicates an extra 20 people would die each year if "...all vehicles in the United States ran on a mostly ethanol fuel blend by 2020." Well, seeing as I can't find a station selling that level of corn-enhanced gas in a fuel tank's distance of where I live -- I'm thinking his model's not so realistic. Plus, we'll all be in flying cars and stuff by then." – Ray Wert

Welcome back bored. And

Welcome back bored. And from the very high level generally speculative non-in depth approach I have taken to researching ethanol (I read two blogs AND a wikipedia entry, booya) - it seems stupid on just about every level. We are trading the oil lobby for the corn agro lobby, and we are not netting anything good overall.

Run Like Cheetahs

Maybe we have to wait until human race evolves to have the ability to run like Cheetahs or Hydrogen. Speaking of which, I wish this were a bit cheaper ... www.horizonfuelcell.com ... would be fun to try out. Actually the "Fuel Cell Car Science Kit" is not bad at $69.

Running like cheetahs would

Running like cheetahs would require a lot more energy too, even more Big Macs, and different pants.
