Progressive Systems Inc annonces that the Phoenix Adaptive Firewall for Linux has been ICSA certified, the first such product to attain the rating (according to the press release.)
This is a big step for Linux. Linux is a great firewall, as-is with krenel 2.2.x and above using IPCHAINS. But that can be difficult to configure and requires an in-depth understanding of security, protocols and routing (yeah, I know, you probably want that in a firewall adminsitrator, but people still complain about the complexities of Linux.) With this new Phoenix Firewall a java GUI is provided for configuration.
This aint free mind you, not open source, but apparently good and definitely enterprise ready.
