Thanks to TUCOWS for the OpenSRS initiative. Heres the deal: "OpenSRS is founded on the principle that access to the community domain name registry should be open to as many people as possible. It is a public resource and should be managed in the same manner that a park is - open and accessible to all."Through a TUCOWS designed API which allows non ICANN or NSI affiliated domain resellers to interface with the NSI proprietary structure, anyone with the technical and programming know how to setup a "client" can begin registering domains for as little as $13 per year. That simply rocks. I havent scoped out all of the details or tried to setup a client yet, but you better believe I will be doing so, this is a great concept and its about time we didnt have to pay NSI $70 bucks for a name registration.
