Check this out. AltaVista has announced that they are opening up the code to their search, translation and other tools and allowing affiliate sites to create "tool" boxes on their own pages. Makes sense as a portal and will help other sites. Yes, they are paying for click thrus. (Hopefully this wont bog sites down like CNET does.)
