Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Well, I guess if your product constantly needs fixing, then you are justified in releasing service packs on an almost-every-other-day basis.I just got through applying SP4 and dealing with the issues it created about a month ago, now I gotta go visit 50+ servers again with SP5 to make them Y2K compliant (among other things.) And I betcha its not the last time before the millenium we get patches from M$ for NT. Then once we all get these fine software products compliant, guess what, NT5 comes out and we have to spend more money to get that, it doesnt really work though, not until about the 3rd service pack (which is 2 years after its released) and even then its shaky. I complain but the guys in Redmond are getting paid, its a nice game they have going, planned obsolescence never worked better (except most of it was never planned, just stumbled upon.)
