WOW, the powerful capabilities of Java and servlets are available for free on the worlds best webserver. Check out java.apache.org which is where the java modules for the apache webserver can be found for FREE! Open source rules the planet.Java capabilities with commercial webservers can be quite expensive and restrictive, why bother, go apache. I havent used it yet, its my next project but the potential of a FREE, powerful, fully functional web server with java servlet capabilities is pretty amazing. PHP rocks but java servlets are also very cool and much more of a standardized and accepted web database interface technology. Java servlets coupled with a sweet free database like MySQL and a JDBC connection, and you can do ultra powerful web programming with software that rivals all of the functionality of any of the commercial pakages. Go GNU open source... go!
