Stable wormholes for interstellar travel: BBC News SciTech

Wormholes This is very interesting news, according to a Russian scientist (and possibly in accordance with the existing laws of physics) wormholes in space may actually be larger than ever before previously believed possible. Current theories based on Einsteins theory of relativity suggest that only tiny quantum wormholes may exist, but this new theory speculates that they are possibly much larger. The new theory is still unproven, but is promising at this time. Large, stable wormholes could exist. Wormholes are interesting for many reasons, but most often they are mentioned as a possible means of interstellar travel. Travel at beyond the normal limits of space and time, faster than the speed of light. A quick jump from one place in space to the next, over tremendous conventional distance. The possibilites are pretty amazing. Check the BBC News link for more details (and thanks to Geeknews for the scoop.)   BBC News Wormhole Story
