Intel is keeping busy these days. Along with the still developing 64 bit Itanium, several new exciting chips were semi-announced this week.

The Intel StrongARM line has a new family and they are very fast, very low power consumption and pretty darn impressive (StrongARM are used in many PDA and small devices such as the iPaq.) The Intel Pentium line will also soon get a new brethren in the Pentium IV. This chip has a new "deep pipeline" and offers some amazing speeds. Details are sketchy, but they are around if you search for them.

Sidenote, Intel started shipping the Pentium III Xeon in a 1 GHz flavor this week, get em while they're hot!   New StrongARM
