Its been in the works for quite a while, and there was some debate as to when to release it pending the new 2.4 kernel release schedule, but neverthe ess, RedHat 7.0 is officially out.
7.0 doesnt offer a whole lot to experienced Linux users (other than a bigger rev number that is.) It comes with OpenSSL and Xfree86 4.01 and some fancy GUI admin tools that other RedHat revs dont have, but thats about it. It is still the 2.2 kernel but is "ready" to accept and upgrade to the 2.4 kernel when available. All of these things are already available for free, so again, it is no significant rev (as you might logically expect 6.2 to 7.0 to be, hmmmm.)
At any rate, its there and you can download it form the mirrors. Red Hat Linux 7
