Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Mindbright has a very nice SSH and SCP client program named Mindterm that is java based and works like a charm. The SSH client is of course a GUI that conencts you to an SSH session (terminal.) All of the options are configurable via nice GUI menus. Included in the same client is the SCP GUI. This is one of the only SCP GUIs I have ever seen and it works perfectly as well. Both the SSH and SCP portions have been flawless in my usage and testing. Very impressive stuff.

Mindbright was apparently recently acquired (like friday?) and the site has a "24 hour" message up concerning the standard SSH SCP client download. Its worth the wait (and the new client will apparently by SSH1 and SSH2 compatible.) It is also significant that using the Mindterm tools you can do many things via SSH. There is a quick MindVNC program(which is a secure version of the ATT VNC program) which demonstrates the extensibility, a small SSH server for portability and there are many more products on the site that are also worth checking out. All the products are GPL.

Its not clear what the new owners, AppGate, will do with it all, but it is definitely good stuff.
