Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Zend recently announced that they will be consulting
to help Intel develop a PHP architecture for the Itanium.
This will put PHP even further out in front in terms
of quick and robust scripting languages for the web.

There are more scalable and more formally supported
alternatives for enterprise level web apps, but the
"bang for the buck" cant be beaten with PHP. PHP is
more than sufficient for 80% of websites that need
application functionality. As always, the tool
should fit the job, but more people (management and
executives) need to learn to recognize the potential
of PHP rather than just dismiss it as "open source, hmmphhh."
