Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Recently OpenWave Systems (a company that has "bet everything" on WAP) and SUN Microsystems have formed an alliance to merge J2ME (Java 2 Mobile Ed.) and WAP.

This is potentially great news for a ton of developers and for WAP iteself. The main criticisms of WAP are lack of capability (lack of tags, lack of features) and speed. This wont help the speed; that is not really WAPs fault anyway and enhanced bandwidth technologies should eliminate this problem. This will help the capability, GREATLY.
