Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

AboutLinux has a quick review of Mandrake 8 and some info on getting Apache-SSL-PHP-PostGRES configured (apparently there are problems "out of the box.")

I dont personally use Mandrake, and this is a very quick story (not that detailed, but the author does promise more in an upcoming installment) but it will certainly help those struggling with default configurations. (For the real fixes, get the source and compile it yourself, it takes a little more effort but once you are done it not only runs faster, but you understand it better also and that is worth the effort.)
