Its amazing but Moores law is still with us. I recall the days when I got a 286 33Mhz and I thought that was amazing (and it even had two floppies AND a hard drive!) Now we are on the horizon of 2GHz, well, getting there. The latest AMD offering is going to be the Athlon 1.4GHz MP. How cool is that?
