Webalizer is great, bottom line. I have implemented , administered and used web server log analysis applications of both the commercial and open source variety and Webalizer is the best I have encountered bar none (regardless of cost, and yes, that includes webtrends enterprise for an installation of hundreds of websites.)
Webalizer is trim, efficient and FAST. It is straightforward to setup yet very flexible with many options. It can be setup to parse standard logfiles for webservers, ftp servers and even squid proxy logs. It has settings for just about anything you would ever want including individual setups for virtual servers and pulling specific hostnames out of a single logfile.
Analog is another open source tool that is very very good, but its not quite as good as webalizer. Webalizer also includes more "fancy" graphs and graphics that the boss likes than does analog (although the stuff that really matters, the numbers, are the same.)
Webalizer is a really great open source piece of software. Checkit via the link. http://www.mrunix.net/webalizer/
