Linux Kit for Playstation 2: news.com

Sony has plans to start selling a "Linux Kit" for the Playstation 2 game console. The kit includes a Linux disc of course, and an external 40GB hard drive and USB keyboard and mouse. This will enable the PS2 to run Linux apps. This has been a "popular" request according to Sony. Imagine that, a game console that runs a 300MHz MIPS CPU, has DRAM, has a hard drive, etc, can run Linux? Well, its not a difficult equation, but its pretty darn cool.

In other news, personal computers can now also RUN GAMES!!! Huh, huh, huh, cool.   Linux Kit for Playstation 2: news.com
