Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Sounds pretty interesting, and challenging at that. Google has setup some guidelines and instructions on what and how concerning the first annual Google Programming Contest.

Basically, you write stuff they can sell for millions, and you get to come have lunch with them and check out Google.

Actually, from what little I know of them, the Google folks are very conscientious and upstanding people (not to mention brilliant, PhD palace.) If you win, I bet besides the lunch, you get a job and or an offer on the software.
