developerWorks has a 4 part series on the LPI (Linux Professional Institute) Certification. The series is the "you must register" kind but it is well worth it. Kudos majoris to developerWorks, again. As for the LPI, I think it is a GREAT concept. It is a vendor neutral certification setup and governed by a consortium of organizations and companies.
