Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Unbelievable. A California governor candidate who proclaims to be "Internet savvy" is spamming for votes. Amazing. This is especially heinous in California because it is one of a few states where unsolicited email is illegal!

He claims its all legit, he didnt spam, he "creatively used the Internet." Yet careful examination of the email (which he has purportedly sent out 3 different times) reveals forged headers . The email proclaims to be from an MSN.com address but actually was routed through an elementary school, IN KOREA!

Classic spammer move, classic spammer. It appears he is skirting around the law with an "unsubscribe" link. That shoudlnt matter, but legally it does. His "unsubscribe" is hosted on a free terra server in Spain. At least his ISP is cool, the KICKED HIM OFF and closed the domain. Hes back up now at another provider, but at least somebody cares, this is a step in the right direction that we are even aware of this.
