Screaming Penguin - Source Does Matter

Oracle has had a few setbacks lately. Some security problems and some certification issues. Oracle has been pushing very heavily to compete in the Java Application Server arena.

In fact at JavaOne in 2001 CEO Larry Ellison proposed a race between Oracle and BEA as to whom would get J2EE 1.3 certified first.

Oracle loses. BEA Weblogic 7.1 is certified. Apparently Websphere and a few others are too. Oracle is not only not certified, they are not even listed as 'compatible.'
