Dromaeosaur Remains Suggest Dinosaurs were Indeed Birdlike

Some new fossil remains of a species of dino named, dromaeosaur, have once again fired up the debate as to whether or not dinosaurs may have been warm blooded and the precursor to modern birds.

The dromaeosaur is not new at this game, it has been one of the hotly contested fossils before, but a new specimen reveals even more (supposedly.) The new specimen was very well preserved and has hollow brid like bones, apparent feathers (inlcluding a tail plume) and a talon on each foot.

The dromaeosaur is a therapod (or was.) Theropods date back at least 235 million years. There are as many as 100 distinct similarities between modern birds and theropods.

AND, this puppy was a bad boy. The dromaeosaur would make a great video game adversary (but you certainly would not want to meet one in real life.) These guys were related to T-Rex and stood on 2 legs (theropod.) They were short and stout, only about 3 feet tall, but were very quick carnivores that would in theory (emphasis on theory) chase down their prey and then glide the last few yards in for the kill (they could not full fledged fly.)
