Ok, so the world cup has not actually be played yet, but computers are never wrong, are they? Researchers at the University of Ulster (?) have run over 200 simulations using FIFA rankings and other factors such as match locations, travel times, rest times, etc. Ine very instance Brazil was victorious.
While the Brazilians will love this news (trust me, I have been in Brazil during a world cup, they are *in* to their football) it doesnt seem valid at all to me. Thats not a bold statement of course, but many other factors will affect the real cup, the FIFA rankings go out the window.
The cup will belong to the states! (uh, ok?)
