Microsoft ships W32/Nimda in Korean Visual Studio .net: Sophos

This is pretty funny. All the talk these last few days about a serious Apache exploit must have the folks in Redmond feeling pretty good. Not any maliciousness, but just nice to have the spotlight shift once in a while.

However, that said, it appears the tremendous focus on security that was proclaimed a few months back may not have been genuine (I know, imagine that!)

It seems that in Korean versions of Visual Studio .net Microsoft has confirmed that they accidentally shipped the product with W32/Nimda.

Ok, insert your own jab here. Its pretty funny, its not enough that running certain Microsoft projects may make exposure to exploits and viruses greater, now they just include them in the distribution of product.

This is even better than when MS windowsupdate.com got hit with with code red (I think that was the one)
"Well, since we can no longer give it to you via the 'official' update site, we'll just let you build it into your own apps."
Ya know, I think that I've figgered out where bin Laden is hiding out. That's right, Redmond. Think about it. It all makes sense, now. Dubya and his boys have long said that Al Queda has got the cash, and got their grimy little tentacles all over the world, causing havoc and strife at every turn.
It's all so clear. Hey! carnivore dudes. Read this post. Go get'em! Let'em know that jeepmutt sent ya.
