http://www.self-gov.org/wwlp-quiz.html Its ultra simple, but I think it makes a few points with such simple questions. I scored as "Libertarian" with red dot left of center (more towards liberal). The quiz is offered by a Libertarian organization and obviously has questions framed in a black and white manner that leans towards a Libertarian outcome, but it is still interesting. The bottom of the survey makes some interesting statements about conservatives, liberals and authoritarians (which on the left are socialists, and on the right are fascists). I like 90% of the Libertarian platform in reality. The issue of gun control, which I am in FAVOR of, is the only reason I am not a Libertarian full bore. Gun debate not required here but I will say simply that I dont agree with outlawing guns, rather better and real enforcement the laws we have and controlling ownership and access to a greater degree. The Libertarians are anti-gun control but feel that one of governments only jobs is to protect from violence. That is a contradiction that I personally cant rationalize away. We have better control of cars and pets in many areas than we do guns, thats silly (and note that cars and pets have not disappeared, its not helicopters over the hill in a conspiracy). I am all about personal rights and privacy, but not when it begins to affect others rights to safety, especially in public places. Check the quiz via the link.
