News about Apache and .NET: slashdot
News about Apache and .NET will apparently be announced at OSCON. The linked slashdot article has little info about what the announcement is, but there will be an announcement. The article discussion has some interesting thoughts. This may simply be an announcement about .NET on Windows for Apache2 on Windows as one poster points out. Apparently the Mono project has no plans for this yet, but posters state that it would be "trivial" to create a "mod_mono" for Apache 2 once they are ready.
I defer to the .NETers on this, I dont know anything about .NET or mono, etc. It sounds to me like a GREAT plan if Microsoft is supporting this (from their standpoint, people could use a stable platform for their great or hyped development methodology) but I dont know enough about the technology to comment (yeah yeah, I know, never stopped me before, oh well, cope with it).
