I have a *bunch* of geek friends whom have wives that are teachers. I know this is a little off topic, but a new tax break for teachers was created by the "Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act of 2002" and most folks dont know about it yet. Its basically 250 bucks off the top in an "above the line" deduction that need not be itemized for expenditures on school supplies (and this should just be automatic because ALL teachers spend far more than 250 of their own money on supplies).
If you know an educator or are yourself one, check out the deal via the linked fool.com article. Tax Break for Teachers: fool.com
