The best looking, least intrusive, most thoughtfully designed OS: NYT

The New York Times reviews the new MacOS 10.2, codenamed Jaguar (its not "X 10.2" as even apple calls it, the X is the roman numeral FOR 10, X 10 is redundant, wanna use the fancy X, then call it X.2 or X.II).
The review is very flattering and calls the OS "the best-looking, least-intrusive and most thoughtfully designed operating system available for any platform ."

Wow, thats great if you are going for looks and thoughtfulness. Maybe MacOS X could win a poetry contest or something. Kidding aside, its a powder puff review but dont get me wrong it IS a great OS.

BSD (er Darwin) underneath so compatible with most (if not all) of your Linux and other Unix apps, Aqua, Quartz, OpenGL and more on top so that the GUI is fantastic.

This combination of unix technology with Mac front end know how and Mac hardware design is really an achievement for computing.
