Nmap is one of the best TCP/IP tools ever. It is oft described as a security "scanner", but it can be much more than that. Nmap can be used for informational and security purposes and also for tuning. Nmap 3.0 was released July 31st. (This story is a bit dated, but I just noticed the new rev).
