Creator of JerryFalwell.com parody site responds to Jerry

Gary Cohn, the creator of JustGod.com and the parody site JerryFalwell.com has a great letter on his site that is a response to apparent things that Mr. Falwell has expressed about him. Jerry Falwell is of course suing to get the site taken down, or at least the name taken away (for which he has a point I think, its his name and he is a public figure, as much as I think Jerry is a moronic fool and disengenuous criminal, he does have a case for the name and domain name thing).

The letter is great because it correctly points out that the bible is certainly not the word of god and that zeaolots such as Falwell are really not much different from other closed minded purveyors of bigotry and hate. The letter touches on the fact that organized religion has truly been a blight on the world, rather than a help (I agree with this, of course in most instances, not all, it does give people hope and this excludes of course programs that tangibly help people, but overall I agree that religion makes us WORSE off, we should preach truth instead). It is a very good letter and sends some bible quotes right back at Jerry, well done.

For more see the linked site(s) and letter. Also note that you really should not work on the 7th day (the letter calls this "Saturday" the "sabbath", was Saturday the 7th day on the Julian calendar or something? I thought Sunday was the 7th, but probably something I am not up to speed on). Whatever day the 7th is, if you work that day, according to the bible, you should be killed. Very friendly and forgiving God eh?   Dear Jerry: JerryFalwell.com
