UnitedLinux date set for Nov 18

The players of UnitedLinux (Suse, TurboLinux, Connectiva and Caldera) will release the first ready for the world distro of UL on Nov 18. Personally the verdict is still out for me on this United stuff. I agree that Linux needs some *basic* standards (not which window manager to use, thats personal pref ;) but I am not sure combining 4 companies that will then "Still Compete" and sell "powered by" distros will accomplish much.   November 18 date set for UnitedLinux: theRegister

anyone know where the 'powered by' term first originated,soundz like marketing type speak? by the way, shouldn't I have to log in to post, just a thought?

you have to login to post stories, but not to comment to the phorum. i was testing an issue where once you are logged and you post to phorum you get logged out, sorry about the test stuff.
