Acclaim has a new game that includes strippers, nudity and bike stunts (great combo?) called "XXX". The game appears to be an indictment of that aspect of our culture and is intended to be a spoof. I have not seen the game but it sounds almost as harmless as the old school "Leisure Suit Larry" series. Its a game that is clearly intended for adults (whom make up a very large portion of the video game market).
Nevertheless retailers such as Wal Mart, Toys R Us and KB Toys said they wont carry such filth. Wal-Mart says anything with "nudity and vulgarity" is out.
Wal-Mart is taking a stand for the good of society. What great people. I find it a bit ironic that Wal-Mart is probably also the top Nsync, Backstreet, etc seller in the nation, tell me THATs not vulgar (not to mention a host of other crap that could go on for days about Wal-Mart.) Dont get me wrong, I totally believe they can and should do what they want, its their store, I just think they are a little off base and its kind of funny where they decide to draw the lines (nations number one gun retailer also, BTW).
