New VW biodiesel car gets 239MPG: slashdot

Biodiesel is great. Environmentally friendly emissions and very efficient.

Traditional diesel sucks on the emissions front and thats why even though diesels can get good mileage (they are efficient) they dont get the nod in my book. I would love to own a VW or Audi diesel that gets 40+ MPG, but the emissions are terrible.

Biodiesel is used already in very limited use in some areas of the states and hopefully it will catch on further. Turns out VW recognizes the viability of bio and is producing 2 seater that boasts 239 MPG. Thats what a car in 2003 should be getting.
