Oriellys weekly security wrapup includes some major Linux pieces this week. The 2.4 kernel has a few problems that include issues with forwarding packets, the STP protocol, serial devices and the /proc filesystem (most vendors have had patches out that upgrade the kernel for a week or so). Also vulnerable and patched are nfs-utils, apache, phpMyAdmin, phpGroupWare and VMWare. For more see the linked Orielly article. Kernel Problems: Oreilly
