Federal Internet Tax Bill Soon

The current moratorium on Internet taxes is set to expire on Saturday. The Senate has yet to sctually schedule a vote on a bill to make the moratorium permanent. They have batted it around a bit but havent yet come to the table. Several key provisions such as the elimination of an existing grandfather clause that preserves state and local Internet taxes that were in place prior to 1998 and another temporary re-instatment while supporters of Internet taxes figure things out are in play.
