Apple has some new machines, new configurations and a new pricing structure. Some pretty sweet deals. New 20" iMac, new dual-1.8GHz processor Power Mac G5 and other stuff. Check out the apple store. For details on the new releases see the linked MacNN article.
Also, I have been critical of Macs being "cheaper" than PCs as oft claimed. But it turns out they ARE. Macs are cheaper per processing unit in general, but not cheaper per box per se. See this per GFlop comparison for server machines. http://www.macnn.com/news/22092

Even better is if you are currently a teacher or student the G5's are $200 to $300 cheaper depending on which you get,...apple is also has this coupon,...
"A coupon good for $25 off $249 at purchases at their online store. This is for their sixth anniversary of having the online store in operation. Use coupon code KPZZAW48CY at checkout. The code expires 21 November 2003."
