The new J2EE 1.4 spec has been approved and is expected to be available on November 24. An SDK (that includes a "fully deployable" application server based on the new spec) is also expected on that same date.
How convienent. Sun lets JBOSS have access to the spec, but then they provide a fully functional app server with the SDK. Any takers on how many people choose to just use what comes with the SDK as opposed to installing something different? Sound like a familiar tactic?
well i could be wrong, but i think sun already provides an app server now? they at least have an eval of Sun ONE app server with some downloads. maybe the new one is eval also, dont know.
