Very intriguing story at /. about VHF being used by a University group in Australia to achieve speeds of 250k symmetrical over RF. Specifically "using 'empty' 7MHz-wide broadcast TV allocations in the 45MHz band."
Having gotten into the VHF/UHF arena a bit lately (and knowing only a very little bit about it) to try to get my HDTV signals, this seems really really cool.
