Clark Campaign Embraces and Contributes to Open Source
The Clark campaign has been using open source software because of the "need for rapid development and deployment". Well in addition to using it and making open source a part of their "platform" they are also planning to use in house and outside volunteer developers to author and release a few political campaign management related tools. The software projects include a political blogger and the "Clark Campaign Data Suite, the tool used to manage workflow for the campaign". Pretty cool stuff regardless of how you feel about their political views. This means they are creating tools that any candidate can use in the future, and thats good.
As long as they dont build the "Clark Spam Cannon" and release that its all good. (As Congress did pass the CAN-SPAM act for your protection, yet it just happens to specifically ALLOW spam from candidates during campaigns, thanks congress, great work.)
