Yeah, I had no idea this stuff was even on the radar but apparently many companies have been working on XML Acceleration hardware (including 1U appliances and add in cards) for some time. Acceleration includes parsing (such as XSLT, yes) and traffic direction, load balancing, encryption handling and so on. These things are ultra cool, but the only ones out right now that I can find start at 55K (DataPower) and 100K (Sarvega).
