IBM sets Eclipse Free

ya know, I am not sure that this is a good thing. Without knowing a single damned thing about the politics of developing this effort, I can say that eclipse is one of the most advanced open-source initiatives out there. I hope we don't lose the focus and control that got it there.

My read on it was IBM's attempt to de-corporate politicize it in order to try and get Sun to come around and finally back it. Haven't they gone through like a year and a half of negotiations regarding standards for it?
