Sun has released "Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8" (quite a catchy name I might add, of course I bitch about the silly marketing only names, and now I am poking fun at this no nonsense name, so maybe its just me, at least Sun ONE was a bit easier to say) and its claim to fame is that its the first J2EE 1.4 compliant app server. Ok, I know, the answer to your question is yes, Sun does actually have an app server, no, no one ever uses it, but it does exist.
That leads up to other Sun news, they lost $760M in the last quarter, ouch.
