All sorts of info on Google and their filing last Thursday for an IPO here at news.com.
Like everything else Google they are doing it pretty cool (IMHO). They are going to do it "Dutch auction" style and this should allow average investors a better shot (as opposed to traditional methods where brokers and vc firms get to decide who gets access). If you want to give it a try, make sure to read the "shareholders owners manual" that Google co-founders, Page and Brin, released. In this very unorthodox letter they lay out their style and philosophy.
In addition the co-founders expect to retain control of the "public" company by instituting a "dual stock" structure whereby preferred shares have more voting power.
