The NY Times has an article about new "Darwin-Free Fun for Creationists" theme parks.
Yeah I thought it was a mistake too, should read "Brain-Free Fun for Moron Creationists" but its apparently not a typo.
Seems some folks are offended by reality and all that "the Earth is millions of years old" nonsense.
"My kids kept recognizing flaws in the presentation," said Mrs. Passmore, of Jackson, Ala. "You know the whole `millions of years ago dinosaurs ruled the earth' thing."
OHhhhhhh, Alabama, never mind, I take back the insults. How is Mrs. Passmore supposed to know the difference when her grandhusband has sort of put her at an intellectual disadvantage. Thats not her fault now is it.
Man, come on peoples. There is no conspiracy to disprove creation. There is no conspiracy to PROVE evolution.
Its simply the result of FACTS. The careful and meticulous gathering of data over a very long period of time and covering a broad range of creatures and scrutinized by science AROUND THE WORLD.
Its not a conclusion DESIRED or DIRECTED by the want of some political or religious or whatever group. Its just the result of decades of science and reality and the scientific method and peer review and ALL SORTS OF SHIT DESIGNED TO FIND FLAWS THAT HAVE INSTEAD FOUND UNDISPUTED EVIDENCE. Science is error correcting in and of itself. Sure science makes mistakes here and there on some things, generally smaller and not on "theories or laws" but overall it is the crown jewel of human knowledge and reflects REALITY and TRUTH better than ANYTHING ELSE.
Critical and skeptical thinking is built into science, its not some crazy ass bunch of left wing nuts making the shit up to piss off Christians (despite the insane and irrational notion by Christians that that is indeed what it is).
FACTS for the Creationist/Genesis Morons:
Reprinted from earlier totsp story about Georgia and evolution.
So why does science use the word "theory" anyway? Well it seems that the definition of theory contains the words "evidence" and "fact" and other little troubling crap. It seems in science that everything is questioned, continually, thats how it works. Some common definitions for "theory" are:
The grandest synthesis of a large and important body of information about some related group of natural phenomena (Moore, 1984)
A body of knowledge and explanatory concepts that seek to increase our understanding ("explain") a major phenomenon of nature (Moore, 1984).
A scientifically accepted general principle supported by a substantial body of evidence offered to provide an explanation of observed facts and as a basis for future discussion or investigation (Lincoln et al., 1990).
A scheme or system of ideas or statements held as an explanation or account of a group of facts or phenomena; a hypothesis that has been confirmed or established by observation or experiment, and is propounded or accepted as accounting for the known facts; a statement of what are held to be the general laws, principles or causes of something known or observed. (Oxford English Dictionary, 1961; [emphasis added]).
An explanation for an observation or series of observations that is substantiated by a considerable body of evidence (Krimsley, 1995).

Re: Theme parks for "creationist" morons
I suspect it's all the same "scientist" that says there is credible evidence against evolution, that we are not changing the planetary climate, and doesn't recommend sugarless gum for his patients that chew gum.
Re: Theme parks for "creationist" morons
LOL, yep you are correct sir.
RE: Theme parks for "creationists"
Creationists are living proof that George Orwell's 'doublethink' is a real world phenomenon.
RE: Theme parks for "creationists"
Haa, you guys make me laugh! One day you'll see the truth. In the words of Malcolm Muggridge, "I myself am convinced that the theory of evolution, especially to the extent it's been applied, will be one of the great jokes in history books of the future."
and Ernst B. Chain, nobel prize winner in physiology "I would rather believe in fairies than in such wild speculation.".
RE: Theme parks for "creationists"
Ummm, yeah last anon, one of the great jokes will be us, not you, sure, you go with that if it makes you feel better.
