Scaled Composites' SpaceShipOne will make the required second flight within two weeks (actually they are within one week, the last flight was last Wednesday) today, carrying the pilot and weight equivalent to that of at least 2 passengers in pursuit of the Ansari X Prize. Today it is rumored that rather than ballast Burt Rutan may actually be a passenger himself (despite a rolling ascent that was abnormal last week).
