The BBC has a very interesting article (albeit very concise) about a new antibiotic treatment of cancer. It seems that an antibiotic that blocks (turns "off") a particular gene has been shown to stop cancer in laboratory tests. When the same antibiotic was taken out of the equation cancer returned.
