The BBC has a very interesting article (albeit very concise) about a new antibiotic treatment of cancer. It seems that an antibiotic that blocks (turns "off") a particular gene has been shown to stop cancer in laboratory tests. When the same antibiotic was taken out of the equation cancer returned. This antibiotic type treatment is a new approach that may offer new cancer treatments in the future. See the linked article for more details.   Antibiotic can 'turn off cancer'
