Penguin Computing offers new BladeRunner "cluster in a box"

Penguin Computing (still around, yes) is offering a very interesting Linux blade setup aimed at the lower end of the blade market.

This setup deemed "BladeRunner" (nice) is not only a sweet blade server that can handle as many as 12 2x systems in a 4u space but it also comes with Penguins Scyld Beowulf cluster ready to go - "Cluster-in-a-Box".

They recognize that they are competing with Dell and such in the blade arena but I think rightly point out that they have the distinct advantage of Linux experience and expertise and can give you a better system that is ready to go for what you want with better performance and better support at the same (or a lower) price.

Pretty cool, check out more details via the links.   Penguin Computing launches cluster in a box
