"Bionic Dolphin" a reality: CNN

The dream of one Thomas "Doc" Rowe is a reality. 30 years ago while surfing he envisioned a machine that could slice through the waves like a dolphin. Docs collaborator ("protege per CNN) Ron Innes recently debuted the latest prototype in New Zealand. Dubbed the "Variable Attitude Submersible Hydrofoil" it sounds pretty amazing and like a heck of a lot of fun. Innes' one-man model is powered by a 110hp jet ski petrol engine and uses five control surfaces to perform barrel rolls, leaps and dives. It is also fitted with a fighter jet canopy, where the driver sits. See the linked CNN article for further details.   Dolphin design fulfils lifelong dream
